Enantiodromia was a term used by Carl Jung to describe how the over abundance of any force naturally produces it’s opposite to balance itself out. Roper used this concept within the piece on an aesthetic level by working with complimentary colours, tones and form to describe a state of visual imbalance trying to find a equilibrium within itself.
