Vishuddha
'Vishuddha' is the fifth in a series of prints inspired by each of the seven Chakras as defined by Hindu spiritual traditions.
Vishuddha, meaning 'especially pure', is also known as the throat chakra. It is associated with creativity in words and music as well as clear communication and self-expression, in particular the ability to speak out and express one’s truth.
The design for this print was inspired by the acoustic phenomenon known as cymatics. This effect is produced when a flat surface is covered in a liquid or powder, and a vibration is sent through it. Different patterns emerge depending on the frequency of the sound.
