Wodwo
The title to this piece 'Wodwo' is a word derived from Middle English meaning "wild man of the woods".
Many of the images in 'Wodwo' are from photographs I’ve taken while walking just one single mile of the Sett Valley Trail, a former railway line now embraced by woodland, near to where I live.
I've learned while observing the natural world that beauty is often a result of limitation. Plantlife thrives in the hardest of circumstances and reaches towards the light in even the darkest of places. This is something I wanted to embody within this piece.
